Australian Customs Contract
Ocean Modules Australia is proud to announce that it has received the company's first prestigious government order in the southern hemisphere. Terry Price, National Manager of Enforcement Operations, Australian Customs Service, and Gunnar Wänström, Managing Director of Ocean Modules Australia, signed the contract worth over $1.2M in Canberra on Friday, the 24th of August.
The Australian Customs Service will initially be acquiring four V8 Sii remotely-operated vehicles for deployment in Melbourne, Brisbane, Fremantle and Dampier. Two vehicles will be delivered by the end of November, and another two the first quarter of 2008. The ROVs will assist Customs officers in performing hull and harbour searches in the hunt for illegal drugs, weapons and other contraband.
