Leif Kristensson Becomes Majority Owner
K-Svets Förvaltning AB will become the majority owner of the underwater technology company Tapiren Survey System AB, including subsidiaries Ocean Modules Sweden AB in Åtvidaberg, Ocean Modules Pty Ltd in Australia and Ocean Services AB in Stockholm.
The holding company K-Svets has over 800 employees and a revenue of about 1000 MSEK in Sweden. Tapiren has over 20 employees and is in the process of significant expansion.The CEO of K-Svets, Leif Kristensson, says “This is a natural step after nine years of developing advanced underwater technology and software products. As a K-Svets subsidiary, Tapiren will have the necessary economical security required for continued expansion and growth in the world market.”
CEO, founder and equity partner of Tapiren with subsidiaries, Claes Drougge, is optimistic regarding development of the business operation. He states, ”We are now able to access a wide contact network, especially within the offshore industry in Norway and England.” Drougge also stresses the importance of being part of a successful and economically strong company group. ”We can now direct our focus at an international launch of our completed products — the V8 ROV and the mission planning and reporting software Spot.on.”
As the companies prepare for this change in structure, it is also announced that an additional MSEK order for an underwater robot system has been placed by SSE AB in Ängelholm.
