Swedish Coast Guard Framework Agreement

The Ocean Modules V8 Sii ROV was chosen by the the Swedish Coast Guard based on superior performance and price, as demonstrated during the procurement process. The deal is a framework agreement stretching over several years, Ocean Modules will deliver the first two remotely operated vehicles by the end of 2011.

The V8 Sii is a compact, nimble and powerful vehicle, providing a perfect compromise between size, weight and ability. It is currently in use all over the globe for police search and rescue, military applications, oil and gas inspection and construction, tunnel and pipeline documentation, polar research and coral reef conservation.

The Swedish Coast Guard supervises, rescues and provides assistance at sea along the entire Swedish coastline. The Ocean Modules remotely-operated vehicles will assist in these efforts, making operations safer and more effective.

Contrary to recent news reports, the Supreme Administrative Court in Stockholm has in its finding of the 21st of October determined that there exists no reason to grant leave to appeal the decision of the Administrative Court of Appeal in Jönköping. Ocean Modules and the Swedish Coast Guard have complied with all rules and regulations of the Swedish Public Procurement Act, and may immediately enter into contract in accordance with the results of the procurement process.
